    Webb Field, founded in 1924 as the athletic field for then adjoining Concord High School, is on the National Register of Historic Places Study List. Webb Field also was the home to minor league baseball in the 1930's through early 1950's, home of the Concord Weavers. The field doubled as a football field in the outfield (home field for Concord High from 1924-1966), with concrete bleachers lining the left and left-center field baseball line. Webb Field was also used for minor league, high school and American Legion baseball from 1924 through the 1990's, and is still used by the City of Concord Parks and Recreation today. The field was named for Dr. A.S. Webb, principal and later superintendent of the Concord City Schools in the early 1900's.
